Profile
Antonio Velardo was born in Naples, Italy, in 1977. He is an entrepreneur and investor whose work spans real estate, hospitality, financial markets and venture capital.
He started his career in aviation as a commercial pilot before moving into real estate — first in sales in Spain and Cape Verde, and later as an investor and developer in Italy and North Africa. After the 2008 financial crisis he turned his focus to the United States, where his companies acquired distressed real estate assets.
Today he chairs the Board of Real Capital Caribe, the Dominican company of the Real Capital Ventures group, whose condo-hotel projects in Santo Domingo are Central Park Tower and Central Suites Tower. He is also a founding partner and Chief Investment Officer of Moat Investing and writes regularly about value investing and markets.
